About Me
We used to play Tarzan as kids. My sister Karen would be "Jane" and her dribble of affection, Steve would be "Tarzan". Of course, my being the younger, I would be "Boy". My boxer, Laddie would be the ferocious lion.
There was a point in every play where I had to wrestle with Laddie and pretend to be losing just so that Tarzan could rescue me and prove his virility to Jane.
Things would go along just fine until Mike, a red-headed neighbor, around Steve's age, but not as tall, would show up.
It was then I was demoted into "Cheetah". While my role changed in this hierarchy, I still had to wrestle the dog...
This experience taught me some essential lessons which I would carry with me throughout life:
1. Learning to play the guitar is better than being rescued from a dog's muzzle of affection and...
2. In a pecking order there is always room on the bottom.
