Review of Mary Jo's Kitchen - Squash Apple Bake

Mary Jo serves up eighty-five seconds of gustatory bliss!

After a long day teaching the fundamentals of Algebra 1 to a dozen surly eighth-graders, the last thing I want to do is mix up another batch of mac 'n cheese for my young boys and me. Thank goodness for Mary Jo's Kitchen! With a no-nonsense yet gentle delivery, Mary Jo teaches listeners elegant recipes in under two minutes. I'm hooked!

This episode, Squash Apple Bake, offers a spicey autumnal dish that could easily feed a family of vegetarians. Mary Jo delicately labors over the nerve-wracking dilemma of just-how-to-hack-up a winter squash with an encouraging tone. I could smell the crushed, roasted peanuts as she sprinkled them over the hot dish. I will definitely cook this dish at home and surprise my boys.

Now, I'm off to listen to the rest of Mary Jo's Kitchen recipes - the holidays will soon arrive!
