Birdie Jaworski is the Arts and Cultural District Coordinator for Las Vegas, New Mexico.

Birdie is the Publisher and Editor of GALLINAS Magazine, available in print and online at www.gallinasmagazine.com.

Birdie’s stories have appeared in many online and print newspapers, magazines, and journals. Birdie can also be heard from time-to-time reading her stories and offering commentary on National Public Radio.

Birdie is the author of the Avon Lady Memoir, "Don't Shoot! I'm Just the Avon Lady!," which was nominated for a Pushcart Prize.

Birdie has been featured in the New York Times, Time Magazine, the Wall Street Journal, and Positive Thinking magazine.

Birdie is currently writing a novel in addition to engaging in other writing endeavors.

Birdie lives and writes in Northeastern New Mexico. She volunteers each Thursday evening at the Cold Weather Homeless Shelter, and is on several local advocacy boards.
