World Footprints is a socially minded travel media company devoted to bridging differences, capturing the culture of a destination and inspiring travel.   World Footprints shares travel stories and offers perspectives that go beyond the destination and touch the heart.

Whether it’s a little known aspect of a country’s culture or a social cause close to their hearts, travel journalists Tonya and Ian Fitzpatrick seek to share stories that spark curiosity and shift points of view. The Fitzpatricks’ many travel experiences typically leave a single impression -- no matter where one lives, the language spoken or the customs practiced – people are people. World Footprints was created to promote a respect and understanding of people and their differences, and to inspire travel outside their own environment.

Through their content-rich website ( worldfootprints.com ), the Fitzpatricks present behind-the-scenes information and human-interest stories in text, audio and video, offering more than just travel advice. World Footprints invites its visitors to examine the cultural roots of a destination, to view a destination with a different mindset and to explore travel by specific interest or social cause. It taps world figures and celebrities, such as Maya Angelou, singer/songwriter Theresa Andersson, chef Cat Cora, Bobby Kennedy, Jr. and others to share unique insights on places and people. World Footprints’ content also includes interviews with experts from the advocacy, foreign policy and travel communities.
