This program was so awe-inspiring. So much more than dramtic readings. It truly gave you a personal feeling of what truly went on in slavery times in OUR OWN BACKYARD. A must add to your programming for anytime of the year.

My fellow programmers, you would be remiss if you did not add this poignant special to your line-up for Black History Month or at ANYTIME. Especially if you don't carry his show on a regular basis. I was at the live taping of this show and Tavis did a remarkable show. The interviews and information was strikingly vivid. I urge you to add it to your line-up of programming. Especially if you're about educating and informing your listeners about AMERICAN HISTORY.
This show was phenomenal! My listeners are blowing up our phones today after airing this special yesterday (2/1). I applaud the research and the music used to emphasize the history of African-American religious music. My hat is off to WPSU for the fine job that they did.
