Review of The Long and Winding Road: The Cultural Legacy of Four Lads Who Shook the World (deleted)

Mis-titled and ill-conceived. There is nothing of the cultural legacy of the Beatles at all. Instead we have a 20 minute infomercial for a tribute-band ("1964") complete with their web-address, and two lengthy interviews with two fans who followed or met the Beatles. Their experience was not normative, nor related to the cultural impact of the Beatles. They could have been talking about The Dave Clark Five, for the interviews focused on the emotionality of the fans. In fact, all of the fans and Beatles-university-class professors concluded that the legacy of the Beatles was NOT cultural, but their "great music."

This is not about their cultural impact, but the sometimes interesting story of three lucky fans.
