The Emergence Magazine Listening Hour is a special limited series by award-winning magazine and creative production studio Emergence Magazine exploring the timeless connections between ecology, culture, and spirituality through interviews, narrated essays, poems, and immersive audio experiences featuring the world’s leading ecological thinkers, writers, and artists. Asking how we might recover our love for the living world and move beyond ways of being that desecrate lands and waters, the Listening Hour recognizes our loss of sacred relationship with the Earth and brings you stories that illuminate pathways back to connection.

Hosted by Emergence’s executive editor Emmanuel Vaughan-Lee, the Listening Hour’s special guests include Pulitzer Prize–winning novelist Richard Powers, renowned scientist Suzanne Simard, eco-philosopher and Buddhist scholar Joanna Macy, folk singer Sam Lee, cultural ecologist David Abram, and acclaimed authors Amitav Ghosh, Dara McAnulty, Robert Macfarlane, and James Bridle.
