"Blues America" is “where the blues talks”; a weekly radio series that provides an outlet for Blues artists to share their stories. Each program includes a guest interview, special features and four full-length songs packed into a 58:00-minute format that is delivered to PRX and Audioport every Friday before noon.

Blues America has a large national audience and is independently produced by award winning host Drew Verbis at the Chico Chism Memorial Studio in Phoenix (Chico Chism was the Howlin’ Wolf’s last drummer). The former Mississippi resident was the manager for Blues legend Louisiana Red and has worked behind the scenes in support of the Blues for 20 years; much of which with his mentor and friend, Bob Corritore. The series is one of the featured “stations” in the Living Blues Magazine radio charts and is endorsed by the Blues Foundation and the Recording Academy. Past guests have included the greatest players of the genre like B.B. King, Bobby Rush, Shemekia Copeland, Ruth Brown, Eric Bibb, Lil Ed Williams, Joe Louis Walker, Janiva Magness, Curtis Salgado and many more.
