Mr. Simon Calder, a musician and adjuct professor from Cambridge, U.K. working in the U.S. found himself yearning for greater creative fulfillment amid a rocky relationship. Shortly after the breakup, he was involved in a bicycle accident. One night, as he muddled his way home on crutches, he was brutally assaulted and robbed. The frightful night forced him to reevaluate how he was spending his time and energy, and ultimately led him on a path more true to himself.
