There’s a new proposal in the Massachusetts legislature that aims to restrict where Level 2 and Level 3 Sex Offenders can loiter. It’s called an ‘Act Relative to Child Safety Zones’.
It was prompted by an incident in Yarmouth last November 2014 when a homeless Level 3 sex offender moved around the town on a bus.
At present there is no law in the State of Massachusetts restricting where Level 2 & 3 offenders can live or go.

It's hard to get kids to relate to books that have been on the curiculum for nearly 30 years. But middle school teacher, Mick Carlon is not fazed. He grew up listening to all the blues and jazz greats. The music that these characters would have been listening to. So it makes sense then to bring his love of music into the classroom and help the students relate.
