The Big Buck Registry is Museum of Deer Hunting stories told by Hunters from Across the Country, and Sometimes from Parts Unknown. Each story is different. Each story paints a picture of life in the outdoors: the Anti-hunter turned Hunter, the Soldier turned Veteran who planned to bow hunt after returning home from the front line, or the hunter who turned a passion into a profession . We are a Brand: a Podcast, a Facebook Page, a YouTube Page , a collector of hunting stories, sending the message that Hunting is Good through every channel available.

The stories are a collection of tales told by a great hunters: old, young, rich, poor, white collar, blue collar, celebrity, average-Joe, men, women, different cultures, different races, different States, different professions, different ways of life, different styles of hunting, and everything in-between. There are no lines of separation or clicks within this collection, just one common theme that brings us all together: Deer Hunting.

Hunting is a Lifestyle that brings us back to our roots as a country, as a species of hunters and gatherers, as meat eaters that hunt and prepare ultra free range organic meats. We are society of ultimate land and game conservationists- a fine balance of taking only what you need and leaving plenty for years to come.

So why pledge with Big Buck Registry?

Our show and brand is a microcosm of America. We Love Interviewing Hunters from all walks of Life, which takes time and money. We believe that a hunting lifestyle creates bonds between us that promotes great life lessons, forms positive lasting emotional connections between people, fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, brothers and sisters. It promotes Good through a greater understanding of each other, our ways of life, hunting techniques, and a greater respect for conservation and the outdoors.

We need help to grow the audience and spread this message- to hunters whom haven't heard of us or podcasting, to those who are on the fence about hunting, and to those that are stanch antagonists of hunting in general.

We are seeking your support to off-set the cost of show production, the cost of traveling to promote the message, and the cost of growing our audience- finding more like minding hunters to engage with us around the United States and the World.

TICKS and LYME DISEASE - Are YOU at Risk? with Dr. Alan Eaton

From Jay Scott | Part of the Big Buck Registry's Deer Hunting Podcast series | 01:35:39

Have you ever found a tick on you after a day in the field or deep woods? Most of us have and many hunters have been bitten by ticks. Ticks carry several pathogens that cause disease, but the most well known is Lyme Disease. Although not prevalent in some parts of the country, New England was, and still is, a major hot spot. There are ways to prevent the spread of this disease and we discuss all those aspects with Dr. Alan Eaton of the University of New Hampshire's Co-Operative Extension. We also speak with Randy Gagne, a former Big Buck Registry guest and victim of Lyme Disease.

We explore the myths, the facts, and how you can walk out of the woods feeling a bit safer. We discuss how to identify the most threatening ticks, where they are found in the country most frequently, help you determine if you are at risk, and what to do when you are bit.

Scott Leysath The Sporting Chef HuntFishCook #EatWhatYouKill #MeatEater

From Jay Scott | Part of the Big Buck Registry's Deer Hunting Podcast series | 01:14:21

A cornerstone of The Sportsman Channel, Scott Leysath has cooked, sliced, diced, and served every type of game you can imagine. Known better as The Sporting Chef, we sat down with Scott to cover some very interesting culinary topics that will point blank make your game dishes better.

Also on the menu: The #EatWhatYouKill or #FieldtoFork Movement, or whatever you want to call it these days, otherwise know as hunting-killing-eating free range organic meats. This concept is gaining steam as evidenced by the likes of mega-famed podcaster Joe Rogan posing on the cover of Petersen's Hunting Magazine while carrying a hindquarter of a recently killed moose. Which reminds me, there seem to be a bunch of outdoor podcasters making magazine covers lately.

From corned venison, to camp smokers, to over cooking game, to venison jerky, to avoiding "gamey" flavors- Scott shares decades of culinary knowledge with us.

Hillbilly Weatherman: Deer Hunting with a Viral Weathercaster - Adam Evans

From Jay Scott | Part of the Big Buck Registry's Deer Hunting Podcast series | 01:22:03

If you haven’t heard of the Hillbilly Weatherman by now after the winter we just endured, then you either live in a cave (not a bad thing) or you live in an area than didn't see a flake of snow. Many northerners would kill for either scenario. Adam Evans is the Hillbilly Weatherman and he tells the weathercast like most probably think it. And, turns out, Adam is a really really good deer hunter. So much so that when we pitched him the idea of being a guest he said, “I LIVE FOR DEER HUNTING”. Our kind of crowd…

Bill Wilson's 190"+ Double Drop Tine Ohio Monster Whitetail

From Jay Scott | Part of the Big Buck Registry's Deer Hunting Podcast series | 53:37

After hunting a double drop tine for 3+ years only to find out that a neighboring hunter shot it before you did, might break most hunters and send them packing for next year. Not Bill Wilson though. Bill stuck it out and because of his persistence; deer hunting Ohio all the way through mid-January, Bill managed to hunt and kill the biggest buck of his life. A buck even bigger than the one he’d been chasing for three seasons. Persistence pays off!
