Perhaps on par with the greatest soap opera rivalries of radio and television, the DeMoulas family battles have been a part of New England for many years.  Underneath this characterization, the current situation for the DeMoulas' family-owned grocery store chain has of course created genuine hardships for the employees--plus amazing demonstrations of loyalty from customers.  And underneath this are some surprise revelations to appreciate when your favorite market is not available.  A few thoughts...
