Love them or hate them, it's a sweet and sour combination you won't forget. Sprouting from the Delta region,
one can find them as an impulse item at the corner gas station, farmers market or impromptu roadside stand.
Just like any other candied fruit or vegetable, the Kool-Aid pickle or koolicle calls to the brave taster in neon colors limited
only by the gamut of possibilities by the drink maker.
This once original green food beckons to the brave in stoplight
red or green colors for the traditional palette, while the young now crave grape flavor.
Evolving from peppermint pickles where the creative craving sweet and sour jammed a peppermint stick into the center of a pickle, koolicles use drink mix, jello or even red hots to take a twist on a traditional taste.

This weekend, Indianola will celebrate a three days of blues after the passing of their famous resident. This is the next chapter for the museum that bears his name and the small town in the Mississippi Delta

Bbkingmuseumb_small This weekend, Indianola will celebrate a three days of blues after the passing of their famous resident. This is the next chapter for the museum that bears his name and the small town in the Mississippi Delta. Museum board members and local townspeople reflect on how things are different this year.
