For the Way Back Track, a new mashup which pairs Timothy Leary, presenting material from his 1964 book, The Psychedelic Experience (a psychedlic adaptation of The Tibetan Book of the Dead) in the style of a Tibetan Lama, together with a live recording of Brian Eno from 1997. The Timothy Leary piece focuses on reintegration of consciousness and normal perception upon one's return from the Trip, and the Eno piece is from Music For White Cube. So this mashup is called, Return of the White Cube.
And last but certainly not least, my Guest DJ this week is Ambrose Chappel (aka Daniel John Ballinger), hailing from Liverpool, England. When the World Health Organization announced that there would be 21,000 cases of Ebola in West Africa by September 30, and 1.4 Million cases by January of 2015, these numbers were based on the fact that the number of Ebola cases is doubling every 20 days. This is an exponential progression, the significance of which is likely lost on most people. This piece explores the nature of exponential progressions, and carries the math beyond January of 2015.
