After such a fantastic week of WRIR fund drive awesomeness, and hitting our ambitious goal (AND THEN SOME) with flying colors, and exceeding ALL expectations, THIS is a pretty accurate portrayal of how I feel this morning.
(you can almost SMELL the musk, can't you?)
While all of us volunteers here at the station pat ourselves on the back for our most successful fund drive to date, YOU GUYS are the one's who REALLY did it!

i'll concede that 6:40 a.m. may have been too early for MOST people to handle "Small Penis Compensation Vehicle", "A Whore Called Renee", and a bump and grind, burlesque cover of David Bowie's "Modern Love" done by a band (Starlit) who call their sound "a cross between oral sex and machine guns", but a) you're not MOST people. you're MONDAY MORNING BREAKFAST BLEND PEOPLE!, and b) it was MORE than made up for by my little tribute to the 20th anniversary to Nirvana's "Nevermind", the Arcade Fire / Blondie mash-up, and the Koot Hoomi (THAT'S RIGHT...KOOT HOOMI!) Hall & Oates cover, so i regret NOTHING in this 2 hour aural victory lap celebrating our most successful fund drive to date!
