We had an interview this week with Bronx, NY's talented independent Hip-Hop MC D. Dave (http://www.myspace.com/ddashdave).

Our commentary this week focused on the terrible situation with the death of 5 year old Shaniya Davis in North Carolina, Sammy Sosa's obvious issues with skin color (SMH at the bleaching scenario saying it was a "skin softening treatment") and how that reflects on the ingrained "if you're Black, get back" physical mentality along with some other things here and there.

We touched base on the current 1 week national U.S. boycott of non-Black owned Beauty Supply stores and how that ties into what Prof. Robinson calls a constant "economic hate crime" that occurs all over the United States to the Black Community in regards to the road blocks in establishing one's own businesses in comparison to other ethnic groups, the exchange of money within the community and other things here and there!

FuseBox Radio Broadcast with DJ Fusion & Jon Judah for Week of December 15, 2009
From FuseBox Radio Broadcast | Part of the FuseBox Radio Broadcast w/ DJ Fusion & Jon Judah series | 02:55:05
Another 3 hour mixshow episode of Intelligent Hip-Hop Radio & 21st Century Black Radio of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast with DJ Fusion & Jon Judah!
This is the latest episode of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast with DJ Fusion & Jon Judah for the week of December 15, 2009 with some new and classic Hip-Hop & Soul Music, news and commentary.
Our commentary this week focused on the Golden Globe nominations for the movie "Precious" and it's possible effect on Black Hollywood and it's images, the stereotype shoe being placed on the other foot with MTV's reality TV show "Jersey Shore" and some other things here and there.

This week we had a great interview with independent producer, songwriter, guitarist and Hip-Hop MC David E. Beats (http://www.myspace.com/ToneNSwaggahEnt).
Some of the topics we touched based on with the Washington, DC native (now currently living in Brooklyn) was how he became interested in music in general, why he felt the need to move from the DC Metro to NYC to make some extra moves in his career, some of the things he likes and dislikes about the music industry, some upcoming projects and other things!
There is a new episode of Black Agenda Report this week but no new Direct EFX segment (did not receive before broadcast recording time).

Our commentary this week focused on the upcoming Holiday Season and some other things here and there.
We had another great interview this week with media expert and author David Mathison (http://www.BeTheMedia.com) on his latest book,"Be The Media".
We talked about a lot of important Independent Media topics that are covered in "Be The Media", ranging from:
* the importance of now that almost anyone is able to create & distribute all sorts of media content cheaper and easier than ever (books, websites, radio shows, video, etc.)
* Copyright vs. Creative Commons
* various U.S. laws that have restricted the creative offerings of mainstream media (TV, Radio, etc.) through controls in how things are distributed and what the average person can do about it can be done about it
* how those entering into the Music Industry overall needs to hop onto using all forms of Independent Media to form a solid & dedicated fanbase while still earning money & keeping creative freedom
* and LOTS of other things!
There aren't new episodes of Black Agenda Report or Direct EFX segments due to the length of this week's interview.

Another 3 hour mixshow episode of Intelligent Hip-Hop Radio & 21st Century Black Radio of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast with DJ Fusion & Jon Judah!

Our extended commentary this week focused on the current tragedy with the earthquakes in Haiti, the importance of the country, it's history and ties to the international Black/African Diaspora and our hopes and expectations of the help that needs to be given to the people of the country from individuals to the government and other organizations.
We also talked about the recent dustup with issues of Race & current U.S. President Barack Obama with recent comments by Senator Harry Reid and former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, a tad about the entire "Is Jay-Z Illuminati" mini-controversy in music circles (and if he is, does it really mean ANYHTING) along with other things here and there.

For this week's show, we have an great interivew (phoned in before Haitian earthquake information was known) with the indepdenent producer/MC duo Fly Gypsy (http://www.FlyGypsy.com), respresenting the Washington, DC area here in the States.
Some of the things we talked about included their musicial influences, how they met up, the grind as an independent artist and how best to go about doing music business while keeping the creative side intact, their recently dropped "Change for A Dollar EP" & music videos (one of which, "You", just premiered on MTV Jams), past mixtape projects, future tours and plans along with a lot of other things!
There are new episodes of Black Agenda Report & Direct EFX in this week's broadcast.

Another 3 hour mixshow episode of Intelligent Hip-Hop Radio & 21st Century Black Radio of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast with DJ Fusion & Jon Judah!
This is the latest episode of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast with DJ Fusion & Jon Judah for the week of February 10, 2010 with some new and classic Hip-Hop & Soul Music, news and commentary.

Our extended commentary this week focused on the importance still of having an officially recognized Black History Month in the U.S. & U.K., the strange weather going on, especially major snowstorm in the Eastern U.S. this past week and the earthquake in Illinois, actor Lou Gossett, Jr.'s current battle with prostate cancer and some other subjects here and there.

During this week's show, we had a great interview with Brooklyn, NY's own independent Hip-Hop MC Nervzeen (http://www.myspace.com/Nervzeen; http://www.twitter.com/zeeno51).
Some of the topics we've touched base on included Nervzeen's musical, educational & family background, his current feeling about the overall NYC Hip-Hop scene for both good and bad through this experiences in groups and solo career as an independent artist, the lack of respect lately for East Coast & lyricial styles of Hip-Hop Music in the mainstream music arena, personal and other politics of the music business, his upcoming mixtape and album projects with Team Blackout and his own solo joints, being truthful to one's self as a music artist & man and a lot more!
There is a new episode of the Black Agenda Report for this week's broadcast but no new Direct EFX segment on this week's broadcast (did not recieve before broadcast time).

Our commentary this week touched base on our viewpoint on the events of 9/11 in the United States & beyond during the 10th anniversary of the tragic events, the insanity of Troy Davis case & various organization trying to stay his execution, some of the recent barbarity that has come out of the recent Republican Presidential debates (especially an incident where the audience cheered about the possibility of an uninsured person dying), giving respect to French Hip-Hop & Electro DJ + producer DJ Mehdi (R.I.P.), a quickie movie review of "Rise of the Planet Of The Apes" and other diverse topics here and there.
There are brand new Black Agenda Report, Black University Radio Network (B.U.R.N.) Direct EFX and Free Press "Media Minutes" mini-segments on this week's episode.
