Two UPS Drivers Retire After 10 Million Miles, 40+ Years Without An Accident

From Michael Miller | 03:38

Charlie Millican and Ronnie Tims have seen plenty in their 40+ years driving for UPS. When Millican started with UPS, the company was so new that the bank wouldn't cash his paycheck, saying they'd never heard of United Parcel Service. More than ten million miles later, these two drivers are ready to retire with a perfect record--neither has ever had an accident, which puts them among the top 20 UPS drivers in the world.

HOST INTRO:

You may take a long road trip this holiday weekend, but you’ll never beat a record set by two Tennessee UPS drivers.  Charlie Millican and Ronnie Tims are friends who’ve traveled a collective ten million miles.  Along the way, neither one of them has ever had a single accident.  Now they’re retiring.  Each has been with UPS more than 40 years.  That puts them among the top 20 UPS drivers in the world.  Michael Edward Miller spoke with them at the company's distribution center in Chattanooga.
