Focus on the prestige of a wise and outspoken modern-day poet who is clearly popular with the people; less so with the religious/political leaders. An especially revealing and sensitive window opens with this piece. My favorite so far. Not to be missed!
Summary: In Iran writers, especially poets, enjoy pop-star status. Despite the dangers poet Simin Behbehani has used her work to speak out for human rights in Iran.
