Birdfoot Portraits
Series produced by Sarah Holtz

A series of audio portraits of chamber musicians recorded during the Birdfoot Festival in New Orleans, a week of chamber music concerts performed in bars and other unexpected spaces.
When it comes to traveling with a musical instrument, there can be turbulence, tragedy, comedy, and magical wonderment. In honor of the Birdfoot Festival -- a chamber music festival that sweeps through New Orleans every May -- we asked musicians to share stories about traveling with their instruments.
