What's Left
Series produced by Northern Community Radio - KAXE & KBXE, Minnesota
A series of interviews with artists that explores a community arts project addressing the aftermath of suicide.
"What's Left" involves 38 artists who are using their art for healing. Artists are young and old, visual artists, poets, established and beginning artists. Some of the artists include Joyce Sutphen, Michael Tonder, Marley Kaul, Alice Blessing, Vivienne Morgan, and many more. The “What’s Left” exhibit will open at the MacRostie Art Center in Grand Rapids on September 4th and plans a statewide tour. The interviews will explore each artist’s motivation to participate, the art itself, and the question of what art can do besides “look pretty.” This project is made possible by a grant from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
