A podcast featuring stylized, non-narrated stories of human toil and the awful wisdom that may grow in its wake.

The show is inspired by a speech Robert Kennedy gave in Indianapolis the day Martin Luther King Jr. was killed. In the speech, where he calls for compassion and love instead of blood lust and hatred, he quotes his favorite poet, the Greek tragedian Aeschylus:

"Even in our sleep, pain which cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart until, in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom through the awful grace of God."

Awful Grace tells stories of both contemporary and historical settings in an attempt to find that wisdom and share it with the audience. The show is grounded in a simple concept: Make gentle the life of this world.
