People in the arts who do things you wouldn't think of when you think "The Arts"

This project was conceived by ArtsEdge (the educational website of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts) as a way to tell young people: When you think of jobs in the arts, think outside the box. There may be things you like to do that don't seem, at first to be arts-related, but think again. To convey that message, one thing we did was create profiles of people in the arts with unusual jobs -- a woman who does sound effects for television commercials, a man who write music for nature documentaries, a bugler who plays Taps at Arlington National Cemetery, a piano tuner and one of the people who does pyrotechnics for Broadway shows.
