A series of short essays, mixed with natural sound, from organic farmer Cindy Jones.

For food-savvy consumers, buying produce locally is becoming more and more important. New York-area folks who seek out heirloom tomatoes or melons at one of the region's farmer's markets may be purchasing those items from Cindy Jones.

Cindy's an organic farmer in Orange County, New York. Her family farm sits on the backside of a mountain behind the New York State Thruway, just up the road from a large outlet mall. She supplies many of the city?s best restaurants, including Tabla, Babbo, and Union Square Caf?. Cindy is a close observer of what goes on around her, and has written a series of essays about what it's like to do the work she does. The essays are mixed with natural sound that Cindy has collected.
