About Me

Lynda-Marie Taurasi has more than ten years experience in radio and print journalism. She was a correspondent for the News & Observer in Raleigh and its sister publications, The Charlotte Observer, The Chapel Hill News, and The Durham News. Previously, she was the news director for WCHL in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and a writer and producer for MTV Radio Networks in New York City. Her work at WCHL won a Regional Edward R. Murrow award for "Best Use of Sound" in 2010. She has contributed to Free Speech Radio News, a national and international radio news program, CBS Radio News, and has provided commentary for MSNBC.

She earned a Certificate in Documentary Arts at The Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University in addition to a bachelor's from Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina and a Master's from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.
