"Love is rare, life is strange, nothing lasts & people change! Wow! Romantics sit back, friendship is up today.
Quite a theme. Perhaps for men, it's camaraderie, for women it's meaning...intended to communicate feeling. Both male & female need friends.
The thing is about Rudman, Bill, that is, is he let's us hear Thelma Ritter do O'Neil, the great playwright of the great play, Anna Christie, and so unexpectedly, for me, from the 1957 musical "New Girl In Town." I love the theatre and i love film, but never knew it was Thelma, whom I knew from film, who did the musical of that great play, New Girl in Town. Is it any wonder, Rudman is Our Friend.
Thanks in buddyship,.

I thought I knew BY Musicals until I encountered the omnivorous Bill Rudman! I'm jealous. Like BY BIG, so is Rudman's depth BIG, and aren't we so lucky folks? Raul Julia paved the way for Antonio, and who could have thunk it! Brian Stokes, who could believe Kiley could be competed against?Who is the grat talent monger? A possibility for the next quiz. Thanks again. jtc, nyc

Like an aperitif of fine Prosecco that is fine and dandy all by itself, is the Overture, but when taken in tandem with the entre, dinner wine, and the dessert finale, well, what else is there! I never knew Burton Lane's wonderful "On a Clear Day" was Gershwin influenced, how very beautiful it is. Also never knew "Sleepin Bee" was from Arlen's "House of Flowers"...so sweet and melodic. Only a bee that was definitely Not sleeping could give us a program like this! Many thanks, Bill Rudman!

Glitter & Be Gay is an absolute feat! Brava Dawn! As to what may have been in Sondheim's mind when he wrote "There Won't be Trumpets"...it reminds me of how Sondheim appears to be, as a person,... when I see or hear him on the media....tho he has been Mr. Theatre Itself, still it's his places within, deep yearning alongside resolute realism where his magic lies. No fanfare necessary. Also, Dawn's "He was Too Good To Be True"
was fully realized! Thanks!

If we did not have a Bill Rudman, with his impeccable musical theatre acumen.......fortunately we needn't conjecture about that! Can you imagine the UNSMILING Eugene O'Neill hearing the dear Walter Pigeon singing "Everybody's getting old like me!" If it were not for Bill Rudman, much of this might be lost, let alone, that we experience all these moments from different shows at the same time. Yes, these unique performers give, yet there must be those who receive and give back to us. Surely we are grateful to Mr. Rudman for this and for his life's work. Jane Campbell.

Bill Rudman, what is the perameter of your heart. For you to have selected such a melange (albeit heart connectd ) is a gift from you. Oh yes, the singers and the composers and lyricists are there, but you heard it all, and connected their hearts to ours. Bravo, Bill! And, I guess, just to make it current, Angela L. at age 83 is giving Noel Coward what he had in mind in B. Spirit, it was so great to hear her from "Mad" Jane Campbell. And, oh yes, did I mention, to hear this when I choose the time is a gift for which I'll be eternally grateful.
