Yolette Garcia has been at KERA since 1983, working across mediums. She has served as Assistant Radio Station Manager,Radio News Director, Executive Producer for Television Programming, Producer and Researcher. Her awards include the 2002 Buck Marryat Award from the Press Club of Dallas for career achievement in journalism. She currently serves as Director of Multimedia Communications.
For me, an audio piece certainly is about sound, but it should be carried by a good narrative, no matter how it is constructed.
