Larry Josephson is a veteran public radio host and producer whose work has been heard on NPR and Pacifica stations for the past 40 years. He has won the Peabody Award and three Grammy nominations for his work.

Josephson was Host and Producer of two live talk shows: Modern Times with Larry Josephson (1988-1993) and Bridges: A Liberal/Conservative Dialogue (1994-1998). He began his radio career at WBAI New York as an infamous early morning host, where he was the first person in recorded history to eat a toasted, buttered bagel on the air, then review it.

For the past 25 years Josephson has produced and distributed the work of Bob & Ray, beloved American humorists who satirize the absurdities of radio and television. He is currently at work on ONLY IN AMERICA: 350 YEARS OF THE AMERICAN JEWISH EXPERIENCE, a documentary series to air in 2006.

Larry Josephson is President of The Radio Foundation, an independent public radio production company he established in 1977. The Foundation supports his work, and that of other independent producers, with grants from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, The National Endowment for the Arts, and private foundations and individuals. He was awarded a B.A. in Linguistics from the University of California at Berkeley.
