After a forced and traumatizing upheaval from her Seattle home in 1993, Emily Anne Raymond settled in Northern California's pastoral Sonoma County, which is famed for its wine and hemp industries. Emily recently graduated with honors from the unfortunately named Analy High School, where she took classes that inflate her GPA to unhuman levels. Besides being probably the only Libertarian in her town of eight thousand, Emily enjoys music (flute, piano, and guitar), speech and debate, and fiber arts in any way, shape, or form. True to her Seattle roots, Emily professes a devotion to all things grunge that borders on Jerry Falwell-esque religious zealotry. When she's not busy rocking, she tries in vain to get a tan and does those little sudoku puzzles. This fall, Emily will be studying journalism at Northwestern University.
