I have been volunteering at KBOO Radio in Portland OR for several years. I am an active member of the KBOO "Youth Collective" and also engineer the evening news once a week. Since starting at KBOO with no idea of how to do radio, I have learned how to make and edit my own pieces, operate the board, put together a show, announce pieces, network, and help others make radio. I am currently studying Early Childhood Education at Community college and working as a lifeguard. I hope to continue making radio for the rest of my life, and helping teach others how to express themselves on the airwaves. For my senior project in High School, I wrote a manual on how to engineer at KBOO. -BreAna
