Well-Rounded Radio is a music interview program that digs deep into the creation of music. It's the place for songwriters and musicians to reveal what inspires and influences them, using music + conversation.

Covering rock, reggae, hip-hop, jazz, soul, folk, country, funk, bluegrass, electronica, ambient, and music from around the world--the purpose of the show is to resist categorization. Great music is great music and, as true music fans know, its category doesn't much matter.

Well-Rounded Radio is also the perfect medium for music lovers to be exposed to innovative, new music through short interview segments--without musicians having to give away full songs for free in order to spur sales.

These are also the artists creating today's most influential and quality work, though much of the time they don't fit into commercial radio's limited formats and playlists. As we all know, in this day and age, every music audience demographic is dissected and broken down to the nth degree. It's assumed that you like one type of music and only that type, so there are few opportunities for listeners to discover new, less-predictable music.

Well-Rounded Radio is (a part of) the solution to these problems. It also features interviewers who truly know and love the music they are talking about...and were not just filled in on the topic 10 minutes earlier. (We've all heard those music interviews that seem cobbled together by interviewers who seem ill-informed and less than prepared!)

Said simply: Well-Rounded Radio's goal is to make our listeners aware of all the great music that's happening outside the mainstream--and give them a behind-the-scenes look and listen to sample it.

The show also features interstitial programming about new releases, movie soundtracks, books, references to great music Web sites, and anything else that is music-related and will help turn our listeners on to quality music.

Well-Rounded Radio's global online audience continues to grow, with listeners in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, Russian Federation, Japan, Israel, Denmark, Italy, Germany, Sweden, Belgium, and the list grows. In the future, Well-Rounded Radio will also use interviewers from across North America, both as experts in different genres of music as well as getting access to rising stars in various cities and regions.
