WAER's purpose, as a commercial-free, listener-supported station is to entertain and inform. WAER's objective is to competitively serve the greater Syracuse area, as a licensed broadcast service of Syracuse University, by providing high quality, dependable programming. This innovative broadcast service includes music, news, information, and sports. WAER is staffed by full-time professionals who supervise, educate, train, and provide valuable opportunities and unique experiences to students and community volunteers. This work is an enhancement of the academic work at Syracuse University.
