KGOU Radio is a News Talk/Jazz/Blues/World Music station that broadcasts to nearly one million citizens in Central Oklahoma.
More: KGOU Radio is a full service public radio station, licensed to the University of Oklahoma. The station serves the greater Oklahoma City metropolitan area with a news/talk/jazz format, utilizing programs from NPR, PRI and others. Over the last 12 years, KGOU's audience has more than doubled and private donations have more than quadrupled.
The staff of KGOU includes 9 full time and 5 part-time employees. In the coming years, KGOU will continue to expand its signal coverage area, providing public radio service to more Oklahomans. In addition, the station hopes to be moving to new facilities within the next year.
KGOU Radio originates from studios located on the campus of the University of Oklahoma and is delivered by two transmitters to nearly one million citizens in central Oklahoma.
