Description:

Fresh, surprising and startlingly funny - Offramp sounds more alive than any scripted comedy. It's not like improv games or TV shows - it's densely witty, character-based humor that's funny the first or the fiftieth time you hear it.

Offramp is a mix of comedy and surreality that's unscripted and unexpected. The actors improvise as the tape rolls - and let anything and everything happen. The tape is later edited and mixed with sound effects, but because the dialogue is improvised the voices sound as natural as if they're live in the studio.

The trio is actor/director and filmmaker Gary Bass, percussionist/actor/writer and radio producer Matthew Cowley, and musician and man-of-a-thousand-voices Dave Waterman. With an endless cast of voices and ridiculously real characters, Offramp is a popular favorite with listeners, who quote lines and imitate characters the next morning, and listen over and over to recordings. The unpredictable eruptions of quotable dialogue and erudite, absurdist wit will appeal to fans of classic Firesign Theatre, Monty Python and Second City.

Some comments from listeners. . .

"The concepts, the production and the execution are fabulous - as good as any National Lampoon or Second City Skit I've heard."

"Thanks! You guys have saved my day!"

"This show is mental, in a good way. It makes me snork out my coffee. The only podcast I keep in I-tunes after I listen to it, so I can hear it again. LOVE IT."
