Series 2 of The New Jazz Archive, a new program for public radio exploring jazz's place in American life. (13 Episodes)

We understand that jazz often needs a proper introduction and seek to open people’s ears to the music not just by spinning discs, but through great storytelling. In other words, we don’t just assume jazz is important—we show you why through compelling interviews with some of the music’s big thinkers, vibrant biographies and carefully-crafted playlists that represent the full gamut of jazz’s rich history. And because we use storytelling as our approach to the music, if you’re a person who likes a good story, you’ll probably like this show. You might even end up a jazz fan in the process.

The 13 hour-long episodes here are some of our very best shows, now repackaged for 2015 as Series 2 of The New Jazz Archive. Grab a few à la carte for standalone special programming or the entire season for a compelling and unique limited series for your station Hide full description
