Wordy Birds

Series produced by Liz Humes

Wordy Birds is a weekly half hour radio show about books and ideas. I consider it a radio show for people who don't like to read. I do my best to pull the strongest bits of writing and thinking from the pages and then ask the writers what they meant. In turn, I get really great interviews that are filled with gripping stories.

Wordy Birds is a radio show about books and ideas. It's not about writing, at all, but about the subjects contained within the book. The interviews are done face to face at our studio, with the author sitting across from me at the table.

It's usually 27.5 minutes with breaks for reintroduction of the topic at 10 minutes in and 20 minutes in. The music varies and is relevant to the topic. The show is produced solely by Liz Humes and has aired weekly since 2005.

Thanks for tuning in.
