Chamber Music from the Spoleto Festival USA - featuring the world's most notable chamber musicians - is back with a new sound and style.

The series features the world's most accomplished artists performing in the newly-renovated Memminger Auditorium in Charleston, SC. It blends splendid acoustics with the warm and uniquely congenial ambiance that is the hallmark of Spoleto Festival USA's Charleston setting.

Violist and NPR Commentator Miles Hoffman (Dean, Converse College's Petrie School of Music in Spartanburg, SC) hosts the series. The Toronto Star describes Spoleto Festival USA as "Some of the finest young musicians on the continent in some of the freshest-sounding music-making to be heard anywhere." That includes the renowned Charles Wadsworth, Spoleto Festival USA Artistic Director for Chamber Music, with such festival favorites as the St. Lawrence String Quartet, pianists Stephen Prutsman and Pedja Muzijevic, tenor Paul Groves, cellist Alisa Weilerstein, and flutist Tara Helen O'Connor.

Executive Producers for the new Spoleto series are two of public radio's most experienced cultural producers: Shari Hutchinson, the Peabody and CPB-Award winning producer of Marian McPartland's Piano Jazz, and Benjamin K. Roe, the Peabody-, Grammy- and ASCAP-Deems Taylor-award-winning former Director of Music for NPR.
