Documentary audio exploration of civic engagement in Durham, NC.

The Passionate Citizens Project is a documentary audio exploration of civic engagement in Durham, North Carolina. In 2006, Youth Noise Network producers identified nine members of the community whom they considered "Passionate Citizens." These are folks who exemplify civic engagement because of their commitment to and work in the community. Despite the projects focus on Durham, North Carolina, the series discusses themes of politics and social change common across the United States but from the unique perspective of a diverse group of teens.

The audio pieces will be distributed to local high school civics teachers along with an educator's guide.

Youth Noise Network debuted the pieces locally on WXDU 88.7.
