Description:
Virtuoso Voices is an interview clip service for classical music stations, presenting today's preeminent and upcoming classical music performers, conductors and composers talking in 20 to 35 second clips. It's free for local Public Radio Stations.
The series also includes performers reading fundraising scripts and produced fundraising messages.
These topical and evergreen sound bites will enable announcers to bring an additional insider's perspective to the music they play on their shifts.
Your listeners will hear performers in their own voices talking about
1. their most recent recordings
2. their personal thoughts on all areas of classical music
3. entertaining aspects of the performer's life, both inside and outside the concert hall.
For example, an announcer playing Joshua Bell's recent recording of the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto could introduce it by using a clip of Mr. Bell talking about how he tries to bring a fresh sound to this very familiar work. After the clip, the announcer returns and segues into playing the recording.

HOW DOES VIRTUOSO VOICES WORK?
We're continually interviewing leading classical music performers around the country. Every month, a new collection of clips from these interviews is available on CD and here on PRX. The clips range from 20 to 35 seconds long. Most are less than 30 seconds.
The Virtuoso Voices service provides you a Suggested Host Intro to effectively set up each clip, and includes a brief Outro to help you segue to the music. Your announcers can use this copy verbatim, or as inspiration to write their own version.
Virtuoso Voices clips are versatile. In addition to music intros, you can also use them to enhance forward promotion, create compelling billboards and create content for your website.
VIRTUOSO VOICES FUNDRAISING SPOTS
Our monthly CDs also include classical music fundraising spots from many of the performers we interview. They will also be posted here on PRX. Click on the ATTACHMENTS tab above to hear examples of Funder Spots from Andrew Litton and Lynn Harrell.
