Daniel Wargo
Arcata,

Individual Producer / Announcer / Programmer / Engineer

I am an independent radio programmer and have been creating several series of programs for PRX since 2006... "The Stone Age" explores electric music as it changed from mainstream Pop to music with authentic lyrics, and electricity in the 60's and 70's...It has been a weekly part of the schedule on KHSU-FM since 2004. 'The Hayride' is a variety roots music program that originally was aired on KHSU-FM in Arcata, CA as well...There is a series with one hour programs, and another with two hour shows...New Electric Music For The Twenty-First Century is a two hour program series of new Sound, often electric and influential music from the 20th Century...A series devoted to original music...designed with the idea of producing what has not been heard before...Today, there are several stations that regularly air all of the series with an aim to promote bigger audience listening and participation. My creative aim is to provide programs that archive and present the very best in their genres with an emphasis on announcing that is informational and not overly verbal...Audiences tune in to listen to music...not necessarily the announcer...These programs are designed to present music to people who enjoy music...All audiences enjoy these programs, not just those who have heard the music before.
....Please feel free to explore all of my programming for Public Radio Exchange. If you would like to communicate with me personally, I am always available at 707-822-1372 or at danielwwargo2002@yahoo.com
