Come taste the wine, the music, and the sites and sounds of Jamaica with guests consul general Geneive Brown Metzger, and business development manager Christopher Dobson of the Jamaica Tourist Board.

Consul General Geneive Brown Metzger has added a diplomatic appointment as Jamaica’s eighth Consul General to New York to thirty years of experience in the United States in corporate communities, public relations, government/international affairs, fundraising, community relations, as an executive, entrepreneur and later as partner at one of the world’s largest public relations agencies. As Consul General, she has initiated a series of special projects aimed at supporting the development of specific sectors in Jamaica through the creation of sustainable strategic partnerships between major U.S. entities and Jamaica. She is currently developing partnerships among two major U.S. medical institutions and public and private entities in Jamaica. She has been an active member of the Jamaican community since the 1980s and is a founding member of the Union of Jamaican Alumni Association, Inc., one of the largest Jamaican diaspora organizations in the U.S.

Christopher Dobson is currently employed to the Jamaica Tourist Board as a business development manager with responsibility for the Northeast United States. He is directly responsible for helping to increase Jamaica’s visitor arrivals from New York State and southern Connecticut. His role incorporates working closely with retail and wholesale accounts in travel - specifically travel consultants, tour operators/wholesalers, along with air carriers serving the destination, while helping to position-brand Jamaica in the marketplace through active involvement in promotions and consumer events, making the destination a household name.
