This piece presents a reasoned, impassioned argument that our nation, particularly the federal government, is taking us in the wrong direction, toward less inclusiveness, less equality, and a greater gap between rich and poor, black and white. The speaker examines recent events--Samuel Alito's appointment to the Supreme Court, ironically coupled with Coretta King's death.
