Rodgers_small In this hour of The Blues & Beyond, a new album called "Red Cadillac" from Mighty Mo Rodgers takes us back in time to the days of the fishtail. Rodgers is a keen observer of society and a clever blues humorist as well, and we'll ride along with him in the coming hour, with several tracks from his new album. Also, "Rollin' and Tumblin'"  - - the haunting wordless vocals for that blues classic recorded in 1950 by Muddy Waters, Little Walter, and Baby Face Leroy have been reissued as they were originally issued  - - on a 45 rpm single, from a British record company. We'll also hear what Robert Johnson and Bill Howl-N-Madd Perry do with that song, and while we're at it. we'll actually play several tunes from Perry's fine new release The Clarksdale Sessions. Perry is a Mississippi bluesman who taeches blues history as well as performing. Plus singer Jeannie Gagné (pronounced "Gonyay") brings us closer to bliss on her new album "Introspection (Closer To Bliss)," and guitarist Pat Metheny does also, with his Unity Band on their new album. So, it's blues and bliss in this hour of the Blues & Beyond.
