Host and executive producer Rich Reardin interviews Texas singer/songwriter Bob Cheevers. Bob Cheevers grew up in Memphis, Tennessee and his mother was a 20's and 30's radio star. Bob went to Los Angeles, and was found by a producer in Hollywood. After success in the 60's as a pop songwriter and performer, Bob became disillusioned with big labels, and chasing hits. He now tours extensively in Europe and the USA, makes Austin, Texas his home and continues to record extensively.
Topics discussed include: Moving to Austin, Texas, working on a new record called 'Smoke and Mirrors', successes of his records 'Fiona's World', and 'Tall Texas Tales', winning the 2011 Texas Singer Songwriter of the year award, playing in Austin, touring in Europe and making a name for himself there, credibility in Europe as compared to the US, changing his tour schedule to stay in the US and work here, about his song "Texas Is An Only Child", about being on the advisory board of the Austin Songwriters Group, opening for Johnny Cash's final tour, Johnny recording Bob's song "River of Jordan, finding peace in writing songs from his heart, and not from an aspect of looking for fame and fortune.
