- Open Letter to the President
- From
- Sidney Wildesmith
Sidney Wildesmith, Host and Producer of the WILD SIDE NEWS (www.wildsidenews.com) directs an open letter to President Bush in which he shares his observation that he and many of his friends are "scared". America is changing in many ways. The nation is becoming increasingly polarized. The Iraq war is not going well. People see changes to their environment that are diminishing the quality of their neighborhoods and regions. And it's no secret that the President has a SPECIAL relationship with oil. But in these times such is a road to disaster. But most troubling is a statement the President made about our helping China and India learn to use their energy more wisely. Is it right to help them before your commit to helping us? When options for creating energy from wind, solar and waves exist, shouldn't he be helping us take care of ourselves before he commits to helping the two of our most serious competitors? The voice is edgy, the style is provocative and is meant to inspire the President to lead us now, in his last term . . . because this really isn't funny any more.
