Vermont boat builder Douglas Brooks has spent years studying and apprenticing in Japan to learn the art of traditional Japanese boat building. He visited Grand Marais, Minn., recently as featured artist at the Wooden Boat Show at North House Folk School. WTIP broadcast from the show June 22, and Douglas stopped by to talk about his study and love of Japanese boats.
