Feature Report - Bloomington "Barks" for New Dog Park
From: WFHB
Series: Daily Local News
Length: 08:04
“Bark for your Park” is a national online contest, awarding the winning city $100,000 to be used to build a dog park. Citizens can vote twice a day, on the “bark for your park” website and on facebook. Of the thousand of cities in the running, only the top 15 will move on after the conclusion of the first voting round on June 13th. Along with online votes, the city had to show completed land use plans and support for city officials. WFHB News Director Alycin Bektesh paid a visit to Bloomington’s unofficial dog park yesterday to ask local dog owners what improvements they would want to see in an official city dog park --for this WFHB feature exclusive.
