FEMINISM REBOOT        part 1     Despite the Equal Pay Act of 1963 and the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009, women in the U.S. are still consistently paid less than their male counterparts, doing the same work.  So now the 111th U.S. Congress is debating the reintroduced Paycheck Fairness Act.  Clearly the equal pay issue remains unsettled. But is there an actual pushback against women’s rights?  We’ll put that and other related questions to our guest today, former Governor of Vermont, Madeleine Kunin.  Governor Kunin’s 4th and latest book is The New Feminist Agenda: Defining the Next Revolution For Women, Work and Family.

FEMINISM REBOOT       part 2    Madeleine Kunin was the 1st woman Governor of Vermont and the 1st woman in the U.S. top hold a political office for 3 terms.  She served as our Ambassador to Switzerland and currently she is Marsh Scholar, Professor at large at the University of Vermont.  She is also a devoted wife and mother of 4.  We return to Producer, Kathy Golden’s conversation with Governor Madeleine Kunin.
