As the world grapples with the various definitions of democracy, and America enters another presidential election season, we turn our attention to the root of our democracy, the United States Constitution. WXPN's Kids Corner host Kathy O'Connell helps kids and adults better understand the brilliant solution that is our Constitution.
Gather the family together as we talk with Carol Berkin, history professor at the City University of New York; Cathy Travis, author of The Constitution Translated for Kids, and most importantly, we talk about democracy with some of the future leaders of tomorrow - the youth of today.

Review of Kids Corner: Youthful Vision
Excellent for explaining the elements of the Constitution for kids AND adults - some surprises but great for learning in lieu of "studying" the Constitution. Especially good for co-listening with kids - No dumbing down, but keeps it unencumbered without overly erudite tone, more like a favorite semi-hip elementary teacher. My son would definitely listen perhaps while drawing a picture of Thomas Jefferson...
