Windham_festival_chamber_orchestra-photo_by_mark_ryan_small It's called the "Land in the Sky" - and all you have to do is look around to know why. In the late 1990s the natural beauty of Windham, New York attracted Robert Manno and Magdalena Golczewski away from their jobs at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City where they founded the annual Windham Chamber Music Festival. Their programming philosophy is simple: they program music they like. And since Robert's also a composer, you can be sure any season's concerts will also include a generous dose of newly written music. In this hour we'll talk with the charming husband-and-wife duo who created - and still runs - the Festival together, as it rounds the corner on its 15th anniversary year.
