The American Civil Liberties Union filed a lawsuit on Wednesday on behalf of the Center for Inquiry, an internationally recognized non profit organization dedicated to working towards a society based in science, reason, freedom of inquiry, critical thinking and humanist values. The lawsuit concerns the Indiana Code’s section 31-11-6-1, which determines who is allowed to perform and solemnize marriages in the state. WFHB correspondent Jennifer Whitaker talked to the executive director of the Indiana chapter of the Center for inquiry, Reba Boyd Wooden, about the case for this WFHB feature exclusive.
